Victoria Scott-Miller is an award-winning author, entrepreneur, and global thought leader based in Raleigh, North Carolina. As the owner of Liberation Station Bookstore, North Carolina’s first Black-owned children’s bookstore, her groundbreaking work has been featured in major media outlets such as the Washington Post, Good Morning America, NY Times, and CNN. Victoria is also a documentarian and liberation strategist who uses storytelling to reimagine possibilities and humanize the Black experience, fostering a sense of imagination and empowerment.
For nearly a decade, she has spearheaded initiatives that build intergenerational legacies, safeguard systemically undervalued voices, and promote historical guardianship. Her dedication to literacy and legacy work has created lasting change, both locally and globally.
Victoria’s writing is deeply rooted in her upbringing in Memphis, TN, where her experiences shaped her unique perspective and creative voice. When not advocating for the amplification of Black voices, she enjoys traveling, hiking, roller-skating, and exploring art museums with her husband Duane, and their two sons, Langston and Emerson.
